I was the first girl in my primary school to grow breasts. Lord knows how I tried to cover up those impostors! But the more i tried, the bigger they appeared to get (dramatic background music). So, i gave up and gave in to a new era: The wearing of a bra.
As the months went on, i started adjusting to the lack of freedom and comfort that was hidden under my shirt. I bought new ‘appropriate’ clothes and carried around a sports armor (or sports bra, tometo – tomato) for gymnastics. Life wasn’t as perfect as it used to be, but it was alright (dramatic background music fades off).
Then one day, i got cramps. Not those uncomfortable but bearable cramps. Not the painful but kind-of-cramps. No, i got the real thing! Pounding headache, fatigue and pain. Despite my ‘Undiagnosed condition’, i still went to school the next two days. Then came the weekend, a.k.a my dad’s parenting days. And this time, it was the beginning of the end…Continue here
